Used lithium battery capacity measurement device, with SD card (HK-LF85)
A charger tailored for the battery and a discharger set with microcontroller-controlled discharge, achieving accuracy comparable to constant current load devices, while also being low-cost and capable of measuring battery capacity (SOH).
The measurement principle is the same as measuring the water volume by discharging after the dam is full. Regarding charging, even at the same full water level (voltage), the water retention varies depending on whether the water is poured in like a flood or gently. The charging system initially charges in bulk (8.4V-50A, CC charging) and then gently charges towards the end (CV charging), allowing for the rapid creation of fully charged batteries. At the end of the process, the microcontroller detects the drop in current and automatically terminates the charging, resulting in a consistent charging state. Discharge occurs with the same resistance body releasing the same power. A computer software is included that saves the voltage at every moment to an SD card and automatically calculates the total energy discharged during operation. The HK-LF85 is a model developed for used NISSAN LEAF batteries (LIB) with a capacity of 500Wh, capable of charging and discharging at a maximum of 50A, with a charging and discharging test for one module taking about 3 hours. Customization for other lithium batteries is also possible. (Patent application pending)
